One of the many features everyone looks for when moving into a house is air conditioning. Sure, there are all kinds of other things to look for as well, but at the end of the day, if you don’t have cold air circulating during hot summer days, your home is going to be no fun to live in.
Even if you live in an area with a relatively temperate climate, lacking quality air conditioning can become torture on some bad days. For the rest of us, though, that kind of AC is mandatory.
However, a lot of people would do well to have a portable AC unit of some sort. At some point or another, most of us will use a portable dehumidifier, though we may just rent it. They’re a great way to get rid of the moisture left over from a flood or that simply hangs around in many basements.
Having a spot cooler around at all times can be very helpful too. It’s a great way to save money during hot days when you’re the only one in the house and don’t want to spend cash on cooling down the entire place.
So while you should still look for AC in your home, a portable unit is a good idea too.
