Big news from Sony this week: The tech giant has announced it will be upgrading it tablets, the Tablet S and Tablet P, to Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. However, Sony has not disclosed when these upgrades will occur.
The Tablet S came out in September, and is available for $449.99. It features a slick 9.4 inch touch screen tablet that can be folded to fit the palm of your hand. This neat tablet can also serve as a universal remote control and comes with the ability to stream 10 million songs and host the latest movies. Although the Tablet P has not reached the shelves yet, consumers can get a glimpse of this beauty online. It features two 5.5 touch screens and can download video, photos and music.
The Los Angeles Times reports that Sony said it is “happy” to confirm the update will be available for both tablets. The tech giant added that it will be announcing details and timing in “due course.”
